With a 31-15 victory, seasoned Gray Wolves feast on NDU

BEIRUT: Gray Wolves pulled off a 31-15 win over Notre Dame University Sunday in a friendly organized by Gray Wolves Chairman,Wael Harab at Ahed Club in Beirut.

The match was played in four quarters and as warm-up for next week’s second round in the Lebanese Club Championship between Gray Wolves and Jamhour Nov 7.

The more experienced Gray Wolves started the first quarter strongly, playing with confidence giving them two quick tries by Nino Fenianos and Lewis Nabhan but with Jean-Marie Rizkallah successful with only with one conversion.

In the second quarter, NDU hit back in style running in two tries by Paul Moukarzel and David Nasser, although Emile Geagea failed to convert both tries.

That left the score at halftime 12-10 in favor of the Gray Wolves.

In the third quarter, the NDU carried on their recovery with a try by their captain, Geagea, who had to go off afterward with a pulled hamstring. Joseph Adaime took over the kicking duties but unfortunately did not convert.

NDU still in shock with the loss of their captain and unable to get organized in time, faced a strong counter attack from the Gray Wolves, which resulted in three tries by Jean-Marie Rizkallah, Tarek Fenianos and a second for Fenianos with conversions by Jean-Marie Rizkallah and Tarek Fenianos, to finish the match 31-15 in favor of the Gray Wolves.
