Roger Federer made his earliest exit from the Australian Open in 14 years as Rafael Nadal recovered from problems to reach the fourth round Friday.The 46th-ranked Seppi mastered Federer for the first time in 11 meetings, 6-4, 7-6 (7/5), 4-6, 7-6 (7/5) in almost three hours.It was Federer's earliest exit from the Australian Open since 2001 and he has now not won a major title since Wimbledon in 2012 .It was a stunning win for Seppi, who had only taken one set off Federer in their previous 10 encounters.Murray is bidding to track down an elusive Australian title after losing to Federer in the 2010 final and Novak Djokovic in 2011 and 2013 .
