Top seed Caroline Wozniacki cruised through to the second round of the WTA Auckland Classic Tuesday but other seeded players struggled in their opening matches of the new year.The third and fourth seeds Barbora Strycova and Agnieszka Radwanska were both pushed to three sets, as was number two seed Julia Goerges on the rain-disrupted previous day.The other four seeds, including defending champion and fifth seed Lauren Davis, were all eliminated in the first round. The Pole was down a break in the third set before rallying to beat the 21-year-old 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 .
