Microsoft is opening a state-of-the-art training facility in Miami, its first within the United States, the company announced Friday.Along the way, of course, the company is cultivating a new generation of Microsoft loyalists.Microsoft Vice President Sanket Akerkar told The Associated Press the company looked at Miami as a great hub for tech in the Southern United States.Microsoft is working with city and county officials to open the center next month.The announcement comes as investors, startups and global companies descend on Miami for the new eMerge Americas Techweek conference, part of a broad effort to promote technology and innovation in South Florida.
