Economic crisis pushes children from poorer areas into early marriage

Early marriages are making an unwelcome comeback in impoverished Lebanese villages and among the Palestinian refugee community, spurred on by the global economic crisis and harmful gender stereotypes, women's rights activists warned Monday. Child brides are seen as more of a problem in countries like Saudi Arabia or Yemen.
