A close aide to U.S. President George W. Bush arrived in Egypt on the first leg of a tour aimed at improving the image of an administration widely reviled over its support for Israel and the Iraq war. U.S. Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy Karen Hughes kicked off her two-day visit by meeting Sheikh Mohammad Sayyed Tantawi.
