Only a quarter of Lebanon's estimated 2,500 HIV sufferers are receiving treatment for the disease. In an interview with The Daily Star, Dr Jacques Mokhbat, head of the medical team that discovered the first case of AIDS here in 1984, said only 697 HIV patients were in treatment programs.
