BEIRUT: The Sixth Francophone Games did not receive widespread media coverage, said the media analysis company Comtrax Solutions on Wednesday. The international games, which were held in Lebanon in September, didn’t receive heavy coverage in news reports of local media outlets, said the company according to a study it conducted. The study showed that the coverage was mostly limited to the official media sponsor of the games, Future TV, while Manar TV didn’t show any interest in the event. The study added that some television stations such as LBC and Future TV were more interested in the sporting aspect of the games while others, such as MTV and OTV, stressed cultural events. – The Daily Star
