BEIRUT: A former Internal Security Forces (ISF) adjutant was questioned on Thursday by the Permanent Military Court about his alleged collaboration with Israel and involvement in an attempted bomb attack. Mahmoud Rafeh was questioned about his role in placing a bomb under the Naameh Bridge, south of Beirut, in a bid to assassinate an official from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. Rafeh was also questioned for placing two bombs near the Zahrani River in the south. Rafeh said during the questioning that he only drove Israeli agents to the locations in question, and that he halted such activities after realizing that they involved bomb attacks. He added that he turned himself into the ISF even after his Israeli handlers threatened to torture him. – The Daily Star
