The Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) asked on Sunday that the term "the area surrounding the camp" be used to refer to the area around the northern Palestinian refugee camp of Nahr al-Bared. The camp was reduced to rubble following 106 days of battles between the Lebanese Army and the Al-Qaeda inspired Fatah al-Islam Palestinian militant group in 2007.
