Sixteen soldiers were wounded in a bus accident on Sunday on the highway linking Beirut to the northern coastal city of Tripoli. The public bus was transporting the soldiers from Tripoli to their Lebanese Armed Forces base in Beirut, when one of the tires exploded making the vehicle tip over and catch fire. The soldiers were rushed to nearby hospitals, where some were said to be in a critical condition.
