Assem Hammoud, the Lebanese man accused of involvement in a planned terrorist attack on New York, is not the head of the alleged terrorist cell, judicial sources told The Daily Star on Monday. Hammoud, 31, "had an important role in the exposed terrorist network, but it was a Palestinian with European nationality who was the head of the gang," said a source close to investigation.
