EDL announces further power cuts due to breakdown
Residents of afflicted areas lament impact on livelihoods

Electricite du Liban (EDL) announced Friday it will isolate power for two additional hours due to a "sudden breakdown" in one of its transformers in Horej's main Area. The affected areas will involve Beirut's Southern Suburbs and areas in the capital that are provided with power from the Horej station, an EDL statement said.
