Speaker Nabih Berri congratulated on Monday the newly elected head of the Beirut Bar Association Amal Haddad. Berri contacted Haddad over the phone to congratulate her on her victory. "The election of a woman for the first time at the head of the association shows that justice does not recognize the patriarchal standards dominant in the Arab and Muslim worlds," he said.
