The opposition has begun to hold direct talks with the country's two pro-Syrian Shiite parties in an attempt to win their support in demanding a Syrian withdrawal from Lebanon. On Wednesday, Chouf MP Walid Jumblatt dispatched MPs Marwan Hamade and Ghazi Aridi to meet with heads of the Amal Movement and Hizbullah.
