Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati affirmed Monday that the majority of MPs favor appointing figures to Cabinet who will not run in the next legislative elections. Mikati has ended his consultations with legislators on forming a new Cabinet, but said he still needed to meet with President Emile Lahoud and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.
