For MP Suleiman Franjieh, labeled a "Syrian symbol" throughout the election campaign, Sunday's polls were a chance to prove his legitimacy. Voters turned out in large numbers in this mostly Christian qada, which has backed the Franjieh family for decades, to support the "People's Will".
