Islamist cleric Omar Bakri, who faces the prospect of treason charges in Britain, was freed Friday by Lebanese authorities, shortly after Britain declared he would not be allowed onto its shores. Lebanon's prosecutor general, Judge Said Mirza, said he ordered Bakri's unconditional release, 24 hours after he was arrested in Beirut.
