Samar Hashem, 15, visited Education Minister Bahia Hariri on Monday to present a copy of her novel "Les Elus et les Pierres Stellaires," (The Elect and the Stellar Stones). The tome is believed to have made Samar the youngest Arab novelist to be published in French. Hashem, from the southern village of Kawthariyet al-Seyyad, started writing the book at the age of 13.
