Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt warned on Monday that a defeat for the March 14 Forces in parliamentary elections slated for next spring would mean a return of Syrian rule to Lebanon. "We are approaching pivotal and decisive elections," Jumblatt, a leader of the anti-Syrian parliamentary majority in Beirut.
