Lebanon's budget deficit in the first five months of 2005 fell by 5 percent to $1.955 billion from $2.116 billion in the same period of 2004, thanks to a drop in debt servicing, the Finance Ministry said. Cost of debt servicing, which is considered the largest spending item in the government budget.
