Telecommunications Minister Jebran Bassil said Monday the Lebanese government was not pursuing the privatization of the cellular networks due to the global financial crisis. Speaking at a conference in Beirut, the minister said he favored the notion of selling a large chunk of the cellular networks to the Lebanese public.
