Palestinian American writer-director Cherien Dabis came out the big winner in the Arabic Feature Film competition of this year's Cairo International Film Festival, which came to a close Friday evening with a gala awards ceremony at the city's opera house. Dabis' debut feature "Amreeka" took the awards for best Arabic film and best Arabic screenplay.
