During her fact-finding stay in Beirut, Manuela Paraipan, a Middle East editor for the World Security Network Foundation, had the opportunity to meet many ordinary Lebanese people as well as people in high-ranking political offices. One of them was Information Minister Tarek Mitri, who was the acting foreign minister after the summer 2006 war with Israel.
