Whatever happens to Ariel Sharon's health condition in the days and months ahead, it seems clear that his active political days are over, and thus his political legacy will now be widely debated. The world will be very polarized about his legacy, because his life and policies were so polarizing in themselves. It would be easy to dismiss him as a lifelong killer.
