A death sentence against a Jordanian linked to Al-Qaeda over the 2002 murder of a US diplomat has been commuted to 15 years of hard labor in jail, his lawyer said Sunday. "The cassation [appeals] court last week rejected the state security court's decision to sentence Moamar al-Jaghbir to death and replaced it with 15 years of hard labor in prison for his role in the assassination of Laurence Foley," Fathi Daradkeh told AFP.
