Israel has assured Washington that no construction is imminent under a plan to expand the largest Jewish settlement in the West Bank and connect it to Jerusalem, Israeli government sources said on Tuesday. "There are no plans to invite construction bids in 2005. It is not at an operative stage," one of the sources quoted Housing Minister Issac Herzog.
