Interior ministers from 10 countries of the western Mediterranean agreed to step up cooperation Friday in the fight against illegal immigration. Ministers from Algeria, France, Italy, Libya, Malta, Mauritania, Morocco, Portugal, Spain and Tunisia were holding the 12th annual conference of the so-called five plus five in the French port of Nice.
