Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Aso on Tuesday pledged his country' support for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, a day after Japan said it would resume direct aid to the moderate Palestinian government, and urged Israel to ease the severe restrictions on Palestinian freedom of movement in the Occupied West Bank.
