Bulgaria to keep peacekeepers in Iraq until 2009

Bulgaria's government agreed on Wednesday to extend by one year, until March 2009, the mandate of its peacekeeping contingent in Iraq, the government information service said in a statement. "The decision to extend the troops' mission will enter into force after the UN Security Council adopts a new resolution on extending the mandate.
