WTO agrees entry talks with Iraq but U.S. blocks Iran

The World Trade Organization's 148 member states approved requests by Afghanistan and Iraq to open membership negotiations on Monday, but Iran's long-standing bid to step into the global trade body was again rebuffed by the United States. "The General Council has agreed to gather a working group to study Iraq's application.
