Algeria announces plan to repay half of Paris Club debt

Algeria has agreed to pay back half of its $8 billion debt to the international Paris Club of official creditors by the end of June, its finance minister said on Tuesday. Finance Minister Mourad Medelci told a public radio station his government had signed nine bilateral accords with Paris Club member countries.
