"If you want to be a good journalist, a good writer, then you have to be courageous," says Abdel Bari Atwan, the Palestinian-born author of the controversial new book, "The Secret History of Al-Qa'ida." "If I'm scared of this, scared of that, then I wouldn't be doing what I do. I'd be a bank manager," he says, while taking time out from his work.
