The ancient city of Byblos boasts a bonanza of architectural remains from multiple civilizations. One of the highlights is a Roman amphitheater where long-dead citizens may have gathered to take in a tragedy or two. From its present location, a stone's throw from the sea, it is possible discern a distinctly more contemporary auditorium.
