A new film by writer-director Samuel Maoz draws on his memories as a young Israeli soldier during his country's 1982 invasion of Lebanon. "Lebanon," as the film is titled, attempts to render fear and claustrophobia more powerfully by shooting most of the action from inside a tank. So harrowing was Maoz's experience as a 20-year-old conscript in the Israeli aggression that he says.
