Haifa Khalidi of the prominent Palestinian Khalidi family has a tough job. She is the sole caretaker of the family house in the Old City of Jerusalem and the custodian of the exquisite Khalidi Library that forms part of it. The library has been in Jerusalem for years and has belonged to the Khalidis for as long as anyone can remember.
