There is something deeply disconcerting about the absence of any Gulf Arab involvement in the negotiations aimed at stopping, or at least slowing, Iran's nuclear progress. Many criticize the United States for staying on the sidelines while Europeans negotiate agreements that are doomed to fail if Iran's security concerns are not addressed - and rightly so.
