The election of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as president of Iran will have pleased Hizbullah - no less happy, surely, with seeing the back of Mohammad Khatami's turban. For the moment, the party knows its anchors in Tehran have been reinforced (perhaps prompting its attack in the Shebaa Farms yesterday), since the new president has no beef with Hizbullah's.
