After a month of haggling, Tzipi Livni, appointed to replace outgoing Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, recently announced that she has not been able to form a coalition government to support her rule. "Let the people choose their leaders," she said instead, calling for early elections likely to take place in February of next year.
