EXPOSE MICHEL AOUN. JOIN THE CAMPAIGN (PartII)
I had to start this new post coz I've been accidentally 'sabotaged' by one of the purest souls online. I was curious monitoring the viewing meter rev up, now the task is harder: I have to add the sums! Cool

I hope you log on to Part II from now on to keep exchanging views. Part I can't be viewed but under "Print Version".

Below is yesterday's post:

I can't blame the U.S. or anyone else for keeping their best interests. I blame the arab world first because they keep giving others the possibilities to transgress and violate their rights. Once they get their acts together, I can start blaming the others.

@Poet
Moonbeam is right. We must mean what we say.

A syrian delegation is coming to 'support' Lebanon. The meeting must be heart-felt and warm: Barricades must be erected on the borders to prevent them setting even a foot in the country. The cold-blooded murdering criminals must be showered with tomatoes and eggs! It was only yesterday that the Syrian regime assassinated 4 security officers and failed to nail their prime target: An inspector in the Hariri killing and a chief interrogator. The hypocrisy must stop right here right now: We need nothing from Syrians (Population and Regime) until we get diplomatic relations and stop them interfering in our business. Period. And for those who say they do us favors (like transit route and housing refugees), I say: They do it for loads of money not out of love. Taxis to Syria charged 500$ per person to get the people across the borders, not to mention exhorbitant hotel and services rates. Just ask the GCC tourists who suffered humiliation and extortion by the filthy Syrian secret services on the borders and inside Damascus.

I know Berri will receive that delegation but the people must demonstrate and let the Syrians know they're not welcome and actually loathed. The country who lead Lebanon to havoc and mayhem are not welcome to show 'false' sympathy and affections!

I know one who's going to receive them with wide-open arms: Michel Aoun. I'm glad to report the guy is losing popular support every passing day. The end is near. And it's going to be disgraceful.

@All
Bush's address yesterday was a declaration of war on Iran. I believe the decision to topple the Iranian regime was given the green light and we're now into execution of that strategy. Good on you Mr. Bush. Despite all your numerous silly mistakes, you're a decision maker. The world needs a Bush at this point in time. But his main weakness is the poor quality of his closest aids like Rummy and Cheney. A fox like James Baker would have been good to sail the Bush administration through the mindfields of International Politics. While on the military Although aggressive (that's a positive quality in war times), Rumsfeld is short-sighted and incompetent at looking at the bigger picture. He's more of the impulsive type and proved to have made major bad moves"

Sniper, try to see it that way ...

You advise people to go out and demonstrate. To throw eggs and tomatos. Someone might be inspired to throw a stone, then two, then three ...

You might see  some "agent provocateur" shoot (at) them. Lebanon just went through a crises, which actually isn't entirely solved yet. Why starting a second one with Syria ? Why "putting additional water on the mills" of those who profit from any crisis in Lebanon ? Just a thought.

...I do blame the US for selfcentered worldwide policymaking...

...I do blame the rigid arab states for not letting their people take control...

...I do blame the US for supporting most of them, politically and financially

...I do blame the arabs in exile for not really doing something about their homeland regime troubles...

...I do blame the same people for, in practise, taking the easy way out, letting hamburgerunclesam run the show...

...I do blame them, once again, for whining about israeliamerican policies...

...I do blame Israel for being to harsh when retaliating...

...I do blame Israel for not complying with US resolutions with support of hamburgerunclesam...

...I can blame a lot more, but I won´t whine...

You can always blame a tree for being at a wrong place when smacking into it...
...Name a country that does not act in its interests.
...When people really want control, they take it.
...Is there anybody that wouldn't support their business interests?
...Exiles??? 99% left for economic reasons - they really couldn't care less.
...Whining about policies is what we do best on the ringside, right, whitegost?
...how about blaming Russians for harsh retaliation against Germany?
...You mean UN resolutions...90% of those are not followed by anyone  - this organization is a mockery in its current form.

You DO a lot whiteghost. Hope you say 'I do' on the altar though.

Think of it from an Arab person's point of view. Blaming is their (our) favourite game. They blame anything and anyone for anything and everthing. Even in blame, you have a priority order:

1. You blame yourself for the mistakes you make and your weaknesses
2. You work on yourself
3. Then you kick ass of anyone who trangresses your rights

I think you're a U.S. citizen, a society where basic Human Rights are available and the society has some sort of sound fundamentals. Unlike here.

I too blame the U.S. and Israel for too many things. I never said they're beyond blame. But, sticking to our subject (ie Middle Eastern 'politics'), their bullying is PARTLY 'excusable' because Arabs (we) are not defending our own in the first place. Note the subtle yet highly important nuance.

Of course Israel is a potent ennemy. Of course it was extremely harsh in its assault. But who allowed Hizbullah in the first place to keep arms? The Lebanese government. Why? Because of Syria, because the Prime Minister is weak because because because....

Israel is sick and tired of being assaulted and WILL retaliate. Of course. Lebanon and Israel are not friends. Ennemies. And ennemies inflict the most pain at each other.

The World, Europe and the UN have other worries on mind. And they also got sick of the Lebanese impotence. That's why Israel was given a free hand. Even many, very many Lebanese said to themselves: Hope Israel goes all the way this time and finish off with the arms of Hizbullah. We're THAT desperate. If Hizbullah served Lebanese interests, that wouldn't have been the case. But one day the Hizb serve Syria, the other Iran and most of the time both.

Although I'm no fan of our House Speaker Mr. Berri, this guy is a moderate entity as compared to the radicals in the Hizbullah. He's matured over the years and seems to have set his mind on being Lebanese first and foremost after advocating Syria (for oh-so-many years, when he lead his militia and got richer by the second -literally). By the way, it's rumoured he holds US citizenship. Maybe Mr. Nasrallah would turn out to be a compatriot of yours too? Highly unlikely but quite possible.

Londonistan (previously known as London) has naturalized far worse radicals like the Egyptian Abu Qatada (Al Qaeda operative or close enough to that) who used to foster and promote hatred and terrorism against the UK from the UK itself under pretext of Freedom of Speech. Sometimes I think a bit less democracy and more foresight and muscles make for a better choice. The Europe as we know it is heading South (read: down).

Whiteghost (are you Casper or Harry?), you diffuse any situation step by step. It's a painful, tiring and nerve-wrecking process, I know, but throwing responsibilities up in the air, all at once, is helpful to no one, not least to the 'victim' itself.

Signing out:

The Ghostbuster 'The Sniper'

Re: EXPOSE MICHEL AOUN. JOIN THE CAMPAIGN

To diffuse any situation step-by-step:

UN must be overhauled top-to-bottom and given extreme powers during crisis and immediate reaction for non-compliance with resolutions. All member countries must commit to such approach:
1. Resolutions must be followed, after given time for compliance and appeal, with sanctions, full diplomatic, economic and cultural (including tourism) boycott.
2. An independent multi-national crack force must be created.  Such a force will have a potent air force, navy with power to blockade and fully equipped army. Such a force must be created to enforce resolutions when all else fails. It should not be different countries supplying troops when needed, but a full-time army with its own infrastructure.
3. All territorial and other disputes should be put to an arbitration tribunal.  Only parties 100% acceptable to both sides must act as "judges".

Strong and potent UN is the only hope.

Quite a voice, snipper, sure sounded like Eurithmics!

True, an unlikely dream for our generation at least.
Then again, if someone 20 years ago said that Soviet Union and Berlin Wall would fall or China would become world's biggest Capitalist power, the song would be
"i think they will take me away ha!ha!ha!ha!" (60s song about a nuthouse).

@mr sniper

..the dos were a respons to your do answer...

...it has hardly anything to do about my marital future...

...have you ever thought about you presently living in a neocolonial environment....

...have you thought about the all level impact of US supremacy in the ME...

...have you then ever taken a conservationist approach to ME politics...

...have you ever thought about the neverending palestinian issue as the single most unstabilizing factor in the ME...

...have you ever thought what would happen if all UN resolutions according to palestinian issues were forced on present Israel...

...and IDF was not forced to use clusters nor bomb any oil stocks...

...and your perception of my diffusion is your confusion...

...and I coming from the US is a total illusion...

...your bust is your must...so keep on busting mr ghostbustersniper...

...ma´a salaama...
