Re: Who is your enemy? The Lebanese people give the answer
It was disgusting to hear Jumblat make his statement after today's visit to Imam Fadlallah. Ridiculous and pathetic honestly. The day will come when he, Berri and the cavemen are all thrown in courts of law and prisons. Tfeh.

Expose Michel Aoun: Join the campaign

The green Hariri has given Hezbollah every single concession right from the word go; and when the cavemen squeezed him dry; he baulked and presented his cabinet ticket in a way that upset the cavemen even more (eventhough the cavemen are positive to the proposed cabinet; the way Hariri dealt with this whole thing was totally wrong, inappropriate and eventually provocative).

March 14 have to step on the toes of Hezbollah's cavemen...and let them go 'tile the sea' يبلّطوا البحر . Lebanon is for the Lebanese, Iranian-wanna bies: one-way ticket to Tehran! yalla, pronto.

NB

Ahmadinajad has called to form an axis composed of Lebanon, Syria, Iran and Iraq.

As if the Lebanese have to do anything with the terrorist regimes of Baath in Damascus (who keep killing Iraqi and Lebanese civilians) and the Mullahs! Najad is more dumb than previously thought. Let an International tribunal be formed to trial the Baath assassins and terrorists who kill Iraqis. Let's finish with the Baath. Now.

i just cannot believe that the respected management of this site would let you get away with saying TFEH to Mr. Jumblatt.

You love Geagea. You think Geaggea is better? But no matter what you think, you simply cannot insult leaders of our banana republic like that..

I shall now report you to the management.

Don't bring back Hariri:

1. Hezbollah will walk all over him than ever before.

2. Hariri is still immature; and should he be able to form a cabinet; his decisions will be impulsive and reactionary; just to prove he's a man. Hariri will lead the country from crisis to crisis; and the retards of March8 have no qualms in digging Lebanon into deeper troubles.

3. Hariri showed he's highly inexperienced and raw in understanding the mentality of the 8th who are made of: thieves, looters, warlords and gangsters (Amal), terrorists and assassins (the Baathi), disloyal-militia/occasional-resistants (Hezbollah) and opportunists/money-grabbers (Aoun). Hariri is way out of his depth. The guy means well; but inheriting billions of dollars so much easier than playing ball with such a dirty company.

Much as I hate to say it; Siniora is a better candidate; he's not afraid of taking on the cavemen head-on.

Re: Expose Michel Aoun: Join the campaign

These are the words of the coward politician Walid Jumblat: ""When some Maronite leaders in Lebanon adopt a political project," they make sure that it is fully implemented "even if that leads them to suicide," al-Akhbar daily quoted Jumblat as telling his visitors, including a Palestinian delegation.

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea and Phalange party chief Amin Gemayel "represent such a case," Jumblat reportedly said, adding "I don't want to commit suicide like them."

He also expressed worries about attempts by Geagea and Gemayel to push PM-designate Saad Hariri "to adopt their political project," a move that would lead to a Sunni "isolationism" that would have bad repercussions on Lebanon.

"My presence near Hariri is necessary so that they don't push him in that direction," the Druze leader told his guests." (end of quote Naharnet)

These are the words of a valueless; principle-less man who changes colors as oftern as he changes loyalties.

When 2 years ago Mr. Amine Gemayel said that Lebanon's politicla system is a failure and that we must look for an alternative; everyone roared in discontent against him; while the chameleon and mercenary Jumblat was blasting the Syrian regime. Nowadays, everyone are saying that the Lebanese political system isn't working and we have to find an alternative. Even our Muslim compatriots are starting to voices and opinions about Federacy, Decentralization etc.

My point is that the Christian leadership (despite all of its mistakes) know how to build a country; we have long-term vision and the guts to express our minds and put them in action; unlike a small-time weasel like Jumblat who's a hired-gun and mercenary who's only afraid for his community and sacrifices national interests for that.

Hariri would make the biggest mistake of his life to keep Jumblat by his side; Jumblat is the main reason why March14 made all those mistakes and missed opportunities from 2005 until today. Let him join March 8 instead of deluding our efforts to build ourselves a country; once more: Berri and Jumblat are the most lethal and potent dangers to Lebanon.

The Christian leadership must play a stronger role in taking leadership of March 14; what they're doing now isn't enough. They have to step up to historical responsibilities.

Jumblat: better foe than a friend.

Re: Expose Michel Aoun: Join the campaign

Newsweek magazine cracked me up yesterday when I read its cover quoting Gordon Brown's (the UK prime minister): "My plan for the planet"!

What a goofball and a joke that he is! A far cry from the shrewd and able Tony Blair.

Gordon Brown is even more of a goofball than Walid Jumblat, Michel Aoun and Nabih Berri put altogether.

I'm not sure how the Brits are tolerating this lame duck/clown/bozo in office! (no disrespect)

NB

Allan, Happy new year. What year is now on the Jewish calendar and what month?

What about the dead peace process; you still hand on that Bibi is a man of peace?

Re: Expose Michel Aoun: Join the campaign
Sniper,

The year is 5770 for us,  but in every day we use the Roman calendar, and we tie the two together for holidays and important dates.

yes, I do still beleive Bibi can bring peace, he laid out what we want and has said before the world and the UN,  what we expect and what we will give.  i think that is fair enough and a good enough starting place for talks to resume with the PA.   What is surprising for me is how many times he has said he will accept a palestininan state,  before he never would have said that but he repeatedly has,  which for Likud is a huge change in direction and to state it publically repeatedly is a major shift.  Now, we have to wait and see what the PA says in return,  so far it does not look that promising,  the refuse to say Israel should exist as a home for the Jews or that they want defined borders and refuse to compromise on the refugee issue.  Bibi has offered compensation or a deal to leave the homes of the settlers intact if/when..??  there is a peace deal and have an effective population transfer.  but so far nothing,  and on top of this there is what happens with gaza and hamas?    So still a long way to go,  but signs are not looking that bad.

Personally I would be more worried about Iran and what they will do.  Did you hear that lunatics speech at the UN?  Every year it is getting worse,   and he has the nerve to tell Democracies they are not good enough?  What a strange country where they shoot protestors and their president then tells people that Iran is a beacon of a modern country!  My favourite though was Libya,  96 minutes of boredom!

Re: Expose Michel Aoun: Join the campaign

Hi Allan, hope you're doing fine; not busy building all those illegal settlements? What kind of work do you do by the way?

It's year 5770! But what's the basis of the Jewish Calendar; for us Christians the count started with the day Jesus was born; what's your justification?

And how do you still claim that Bibi is with peace when it's public knowledge that he on the 1 side; and Obama, the UN and the hapless Abbas have fallen out with regards to the expansion of setllements!

I think Iran will get to build the bomb; if they didn't already. What's your take?

Re: Expose Michel Aoun: Join the campaign
Lol.. we are building away happily thanks,  same as the PA is in jerusalem!  So everyones busy here!  At the moment I do office work,  cant get a job as i did my degree in history,  not really much call for it and the recession really isnt helping with job hunting either, plus wages are being lowered because they know people will take any job!  Hopefully the world will get through the recession.  Whats your job?

Well we use the same calendar as you and the west,  but we say that the year Zero is when the world was created and that was 5770 years ago,  dont ask me how thats worked out as I dont know the answer to that,  hang on,  I thought it was the day jesus died?  isnt that why its AD (Anno Domino - After death?)  not when he was born?

I can easily claim Bibi is for peace,  just listen to his speeches and the deeds he has done,  he is fighting alot of battles with the settlers here in israel,  i doubt you hear that in lebanon but he is stopping the building as much as he can and has ordered alot of demolitions in Judea and Samaria lately and that has not gone well with the lunatics here,  and well if Abbas would make one speech, one word to say what the PA wants and is willing to talk about we could move forward,  but so far Bibi is doing all the talking and Abbas is just saying "we want we want" and not offering anything.  Well Obama right now looks to have his hands full with his silly healthcare schemes..

Hmm.. iran,  well seems that they have been hiding yet another nuclear plant, so who knows what else they have been hiding from the world.  I think they may have a few bombs already,  but that will mean every arab country will want to go nuclear as well as defense against an Iranian bomb,  can you imagine how they will try and bully smaller countries?  or threaten shipping or worse.   But more than that,  lets hope the people of iran at least get a free vote!  Thats one thing lebanon can teach them,  the merits of democracy!

Re: Expose Michel Aoun: Join the campaign

You're a real piece of work, you know. And I say this with affection. All the world are openly condemning Bibi and Israel; and yet you claim he's a man of peace! Anyways, I learnt not to ague with you about anything related to Israel; the cavemen are right one point: Israelis only understand one and only language; that of Force. Talking about that; the Lebanese teach you and the Iranians many lessons; not least of all is fighting to free your land (as we did you in 2000), democracy, good food, religious and social tolerance instead of bigotism, zealotism, racism and chauvinism.

You keep referring to Lebanese Press as a closed one; whereas you know nothing about it. I said it repeatedly that we have one of the most open press in the world, with TV satellites, Internet and our own leading and pioneering media in the Middle East. Our advertising and marketing are second to none in this part of the world. When I talk about settlement, I quote sources like Newsweek and Times etc. You have a huge, huge misconception, make that deliberate misconception and closed mind, about anything not Israeli. I understand you but I don't sympathise; it's the fault of a closed-minded chauvinist society like yours that you don't listen to what's being said and assimilate new facts. Condolences.

You may be right about AD; not sure if it's Jesus birth or death; I guess it's His Death. I also believe AD stands for Ano Domini (or The Year of God). Have to check both out; but too busy lately; can't find the time.

I'm into office business like you.

I understand your point about 5570; but the Universe was created millions of years ago! Is there a contradiction between Science in general and your Religion. I know there's none; since Jews are avid for education and MONEY especially! There's definitely no contradiction with money, is there?

Jumping to another issue altogether; I read lately that Gordon Brown is sinking without trace. The Labor party is at their lowest since the 80s in the polls. I don't know why, but he looks like a drunken man; totally clueless about what's going on in the real world. Instead of resigning from office to save face and dignity, he's clinching to his post just like a vampire; a-la-Michel Aoun. 2 s who's dragging their countries down (to different extent that is).

We can live with a nuclear Iran; can you?

Re: Expose Michel Aoun: Join the campaign
Sniper,
before you start with the usual insults about Israel being taliban and we start once agan with that,  do you ave any idea of what Bibi is doing within Israel or saying to Israelis about the peace deals? As from what i am reading from you the answer is no,  you dont have a clue or realise what he is saying or doing.    And you think for some reason that you can talk to me about fighting for land,   yes i fought a war to fight for my land as well as you did, so i know what i am fighting for,  and we can teach you a lesson or two as well,  so take your threats somewhere else and as for sayig about religious tolerance,  thats a bit rich coming from a country where you have an armed militia called the party of g-d,  who wants to have a little Islamic republic in the south of Lebanon.

Erm, where have i mentioned in my previous post about the lebanese press being no good? I have not,  as i know it is very good,  so i dont get why that part of your post as I know Lebanon is not the same as the close minded Syrians in regards to internet and free press. And i can say the same accusation to you,  that you know nothing Israel either,  as you are close minded as well.

Yes there is millions of years thing and that is where religion and science differ,  all religions have different year dates and none of them compare with the science,  for Jews its the year 5770,  for you its 2009 ( and that means the earth is 6000 or so years old)  and for Muslims it is the same,  i dont know what the year is on the muslim calendar,  but i do know that their calendar is a few thousand years old,  its hard to say,  but i asked a rabbi once about it,  and the answer just confused me even more as proof is the earth is millions or years old,  and the universe is even older and that cant relate to the bible,  the answer i got was when g-d created heaven and earth,  he never said he did it in one go and t could be millions of years in between,   which really didnt convince me.  I would like to ask a preist and an Imam to see what their answers would be,  maybe one day i will.

oh yes,  Jews have no contradiction with Money at all,  we eat it,  bathe in it and kill for the sake of money,  because thats all we know in life...  Tongue Tied

Is there a contradiction between science and christianity?  As the church used to crackdown on science years ago and said it goes against dogma.

I have been to London a few times and I have seen the country go to such a state lately that it is horrible,  crime, drinking,  violence,  depression,  it is horrible and that is with the goverment there being in power for 10 years!

Of course you can live with a nuclear Iran,  they are not threatening to destroy you,  but I shows how little you think of the stuation in general,  as what would a Nuclear Iran mean for the region?  A bully,   they will have a nuclear umbrella and think of Bahrain,  what would they do to counter the threats already being made against them by Iran?   Imagine Hizb, with the backing of Iran starting another war against Israel and in the background Iranian nukes.  And on top of that,  if one day Israel is attacked wth Nukes by Iran,  half of Lebanon will be destroyed in the blast radius and the nuclear fallout.

Of course no one can tolerate a nuclear Iran but everyone has to put up with a …nuclear Israel.
Alan, who specialize in History “know” that the Muslim calendar is a “few thousand years old” , he does not think it is, he “knows” it is, just like he “know” that Palestine was empty when the Jews landed in 1948, just like he “know” that Al-Aqsa in not in Jerusalem, just like he “know” the people whom he invaded en mass, grabbed their land, and cleansed them from their homeland.

The Muslim calendar is of course less than 2000 year old and starts with Muhammed’s migration to Medina, migration in Arabic is Hijra hence the name : Hijri calendar.

Another day passes without Sniper’s reiterating the need for the Christian 14 to assume leadership over the very same people funding, feeding, and breading them. A couple of days more and it’s a record.
