Citizenship, Visa, Residency
I am a Lebanese-American from MI. My father was born in Lebanon and I have been feeling compelled to try and relocate to Beirut. I have done endless google searches and the answers concerning Lebanese citizenship and/or residency have been vague at best. I want to come to Lebanon and start over, I am quite young and I want to live my 20's out in Lebanon. Perhaps there are people here who could inform me of how to get started on this. So far what I have heard is that the Lebanese government will grant a person citizenship if they're father originates from Lebanon. Is this true ? what documents will I need to show the embassy to prove it ? If this is not true, how do I go about getting a permanent residence in Lebanon ? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
