Oh dear...

Book: 1000 Places To See Before You Die

Be prepared as this book is littered with inaccurate facts.

In the Middle East section (pg 397) I learnt for the first time that Patricia Schultz has for some bizarre reason – call it a moment of insanity - decided to legitimize Israel’s illegitimate occupation. Israeli government has done a great job of convincing its own but not those whose land they occupy. There are pages of places in which a traveller can visit in the occupied country. And not only that but her ignorance takes a somewhat further bizarre twist when she decides that she wants Jerusalem to be the capital of occupied Palestinian land -Israel. For some reason Israel is the most important country to her that exists in the Middle East as she has given it the most write up.

The book is haphazardly written and really not worth the bother.

then I guess it is not very smart for you to bring everyone's attention to it -- I'll certainly going to take a look (never heard of it before).

Thanks for this book review. For years now the zionists insist Jerusalem is the capitol of israel but that be as it may it has nothing to do with the fact the apostle Jesus said: "And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, Know ye the desolation thereof is nigh." (Luke 21:20 in Christian bible and this is where Jesus has predicted the upcoming Arab victory over israel because with the defeat of "their" capital Jerusalem it means the defeat of the zionists just as if U.S. suffers loss of Baghdad then they will have lost the war in the Iraqi province of the Kingdom of Greater Syria)?
