Lebanon needs more help to assist Syrian refugees and educate Syrian children, Education Minister Elias Bou Saab said Wednesday on the second day of a national conference on education, saying that providing such aid was "everyone's responsibility".The first-of-its-kind conference, hosted by the Education Ministry at Beirut's Phoenicia Hotel, aims to create a road map for reform in the education sector which addresses the Syrian refugee crisis and other issues facing the country's schools.The foreign minister said the number of Syrian refugees in the country has reached 1,190,000 and urged the international community to help Lebanon handle the crisis.Bassil acknowledged government efforts to provide Syrian refugee children with schooling, but said only 25 percent are actually receiving an education in Lebanon.
