After dressing celebrities like Beyonce, Cardi B, and Queen Rania of Jordan, young Lebanese couture design house Azzi & Osta Friday brought its first ready-to-wear to stores.Azzi & Osta launched in 2010, and for its first eight years focused on couture clothing. So for the two designers, making a ready-to-wear collection presented some challenges. Azzi & Osta's second ready-to-wear collection, "Rewind to 00:54," which was launched this week at Paris fashion week and will hit stores this fall, looks quite different. All the themes of Azzi & Osta's collections are taken from history: Tsarist Russia of the 19th century has been a source of inspiration, as has the ancient Silk Road. When the designers choose a topic, they also decide on the colors for the collection.Azzi likes this time in the creative process.First, after having finished the two ready-to-wear collections, Azzi & Osta will start working on a new couture collection.
