Lebanon's stormy weather Wednesday blocked mountain areas leaving motorists stranded across the country as air traffic was disrupted at Beirut's airport.Meanwhile, the capital experienced heavy traffic as several roads were flooded by the heavy rain.In the northern district of Akkar, snowfall and freezing temperatures closed roads around Qobeiyat.To the south, roads were flooded by rainwater.The road linking Sidon with Tyre was blocked by heavy rainfall.In north-east Lebanon, 50 millimeters of rain fell over the 24 hours between Tuesday and Wednesday in the city of Zahle, recording a huge jump over last year's rainfall in a similar period.
