March 14 youth organizations protested Friday in the southern city of Sidon to reiterate their opposition to the military court's decision to release ex-Information Minister Michel Samaha on bail.Future Movement official Ziad Daher said at the protest, according to television footage. He described the release of Samaha as an "insult to the people". The Military Tribunal's decision to release Samaha earlier this month on bail mainly angered the March 14 alliance which has backed Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi's request to the Cabinet to transfer the retrial of Samaha from the Military Tribunal to the Judicial Council.Rifi also proposed to Cabinet the modification of the Military Tribunal's jurisdiction after its release of Samaha.
