The Council of Maronite Bishops has expressed its support for the dissociation policy adopted by Cabinet during this week's session, the state-run National News Agency reported Wednesday.The council, headed by Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai, praised Rai's recent trip to Saudi Arabia – the first of its kind.The council also reiterated the need for parliamentary elections – set for spring/summer 2018 – to take place on time, especially after a considerable number of expats registered to vote.
