An investigation into the events that left a 20-year-old Ethiopian domestic worker badly injured concluded that the woman accidentally fell from a balcony while hanging laundry, a statement from General Security said Thursday.General Security reportedly spoke to a second Ethiopian worker who had previously worked with the same family and who denied having experienced beatings or the other forms of abuse recounted by Lelisa.Lelisa, along with some 100,000 other Ethiopian migrants in Lebanon, is employed under the Kafala system, which binds them to one employer.
