Lebanon's president and prime minister-designate Thursday separately underscored the country's commitment to peace through UNSC Resolution 1701 while also chastising Israel for its continued violations of Lebanese territory.Hariri emphasized that Israel violates Lebanon's sovereignty on a daily basis.Lebanon has complained on numerous occasions to the U.N. over violations of Security Council Resolution 1701, the agreement that ended the 2006 Israeli War on Lebanon, Hariri said.Touching on the possibility of Israel waging another war on Lebanon, Hariri questioned what the Jewish state's previous wars had accomplished.Still, the premier-designate added, Israel continues to occupy parts of Lebanon, such as the Shebaa Farms.Aoun assured Kardel Lebanon was also following up on the issue, particularly to prevent Israel from using the allegations to disrupt south Lebanon's stability.
